Video Recipe: Lemon-Kissed Brussels and Butternut Squash from The Blissful Chef

Last week Christy Morgan, aka The Blissful Chef, was in San Francisco as part of her book tour. Christy and I became friends while living in L.A., so we made sure to squeeze a video in before she left my new town. I did a poll on the EVG Facebook page and I was surprised that the recipe chosen by the majority featured Brussels sprouts, a vegetable few people seem to like. Christy's Lemon-Kissed Brussels and Butternut Squash recipe is a perfect way to introduce yourself and your friends to how incredible Brussels sprouts can taste! Not only is this recipe delicious, but Christy offers up some great cooking tips in the video!

XIV by Michael Mina: video review

My good friend Christy Morgan, of Viva la Greens, and I took advantage of dineLA (discounted pricing) at XIV by Michael Mina. Both of us had heard great things about it and were willing to pay $44 for an 8 course meal (instead of the normal $64, per person) to see what it was all about. All in all, it was a fun experience, but the food didn't wow me enough to go back and pay full price...unless someone else is paying ; )

Cooking with Christy

I helped my friend Christy, of Viva La Greens, make her first cooking video on Seitan Stuffed Collard Greens with Apple Chutney. I stepped out from behind the camera to make a little guest appearance and do a taste test - of course I loved it!

Veggie Grill WeHo: Review & Interview with Kevin Boylan

Had a delicious meal at the new Veggie Grill location in West Hollywood with Christy of Viva la Greens: Chickin' Caesar Wrap, All Hail Kale salad, Sweetheart Fries, Bean Me Up Chili, peach iced tea and lemonade, carrot cake, and chocolate pudding.
Then I met and interviewed Kevin Boylan, the owner. He had some great things to say, and addressed the rumor about having the same recipes as Native Foods.
